How useful is Google Wave?

Google existed for well over 10 years. Google’s main asset is still the search function it offers. However, Google always tried to broaden and extend it’s range of products, and successfully did in the past few years. Google Analytics, Google Wave, Adsense, Adwords, Orkut, Google Maps, DART, Feedburner. Most products Google created (or acquired) are useful to some extend. Some products didn’t make the cut and were discontinued or will be in the future. I really wonder in what category Google Wave will fall. I for one like Google Wave a lot. However, there are loads of people who tried Google Wave and dislike it. To a scale of 1 to 10, how useful do YOU think Google Wave is? I think it depends on to what extend Google Wave solves a problem for people.
